What are Credits?

Credits are the usage unit in Aksita.ai. Every time your agent interacts with users or processes knowledge bases, credits will be deducted.

Credits are Used For:

Chat with Agent

Each conversation uses credits. Short chats = fewer credits, long chats = more credits.

Knowledge Base Processing

Uploading files, URLs, or sitemaps uses credits based on content size.

Credit Usage for Chat

Credits used for chat depend on several factors:

Conversation Length

Longer chats (both questions and answers) will use more credits.

Number of Knowledge Bases

The more resources (knowledge bases) selected for the agent, the more context is used in chat.

Example: Agent with 5 resources might use 1-2 credits per chat. Agent with 500 resources might use more credits due to richer context.

Question Complexity

Questions requiring deep analysis or lengthy answers will use more credits.

Credit Usage Estimates:

Simple Chat

Question: "What is AI?" with few resources

~1 credit

Normal Chat

Specific question with detailed answer, ~50 resources

~1-3 credits

Complex Chat

Long question with deep analysis, 500+ resources

~3-5+ credits

* These estimates may vary depending on actual conversation conditions

Credits for Knowledge Base

When you upload knowledge bases (files, URLs, sitemaps), credits are used to process and index content. Calculation: 1 credit per 5,000 characters.

1 credit = 5,000 characters

Example: 3,000 characters = 1 credit | 7,000 characters = 2 credits | 12,000 characters = 3 credits

Knowledge Base Types:

File Upload

PDF, Word, Excel, etc. Credits based on character count after processing.

Manual

Type text directly. Credits based on character count entered.

URL

Scrape content from one webpage. Credits based on extracted text.

HTTP

Fetch content via HTTP API. Credits based on response received.

Sitemap / Domain

Scrape entire website. Credits calculated per URL processed.

Example Estimates:

Short blog article (~3,000 characters) 1 credit
PDF document (~25,000 characters) 5 credits
Full website (10 URLs) 10-40 credits

* Websites are counted per URL. Example: 10 URLs = 10-40 credits (depending on each page size)

How to Check Credit Balance

You can check your credit balance in several places:

Credit balance is always displayed at the top of dashboard
